The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking offers for Event Photographer for Pacific Health Ministers Meeting (PHMM) to be held 20 to 22 September 2023, in Nuku-alofa, Tonga.BACKGROUNDThe Pacific Health Ministers Meeting (PHMM) was first convened in 1995 in response to the rapidly changing social and economic conditions affecting the quality of life and health in Pacific island countries and areas. A key aspect of the inaugural PHMM was the Yanuca Island Declaration establishing the ‘Healthy Islands- vision which guides health protection and promotion in the Pacific. The Healthy Islands vision has laid the foundation for all subsequent PHMMs, with meetings providing an opportunity to review progress, share best practices and drive collective action.The Fifteenth Pacific Health Ministers Meeting (15th PHMM) will be hosted by the Government of the Kingdom of Tonga with support from the two partners who form the Secretariat - the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pacific Community (SPC).
